Brazil’s one cool country. I actually was able to watch a documentary on Cable TV the other day, and it highlighted that that country may possibly house the most beautiful people in the world. Though I have my doubts on that – though I won’t disagree as well, there’s some really hot girls in there – Brazil holds more than just that. Let’s check out some of the things that this wonderful country is known for:
Capoiera
Yes, this wonderful dance – and martial art – originates from Brazil. Though documentation on the actual origin and how it’s been passed down through the years has been sketchy, we all can’t deny how powerful the impact of this dance is in the world. Heck, it’s all over mainstream media! Just check out the latest installments of fighting video games, like Tekken and Streetfighter. There’s always a character sporting this graceful martial art as his weapon of choice. Also, what’s great about this dance is that is actually helps lighten the mood of everyone, whether taking part in the dance or just watching it. I recently went on a French Spring Festival, where bands and performers from different genres gathered together for a night of celebration. The Capoiera stage was filled with people, with the energy even spreading out towards the entire venue.
Samba
It’s a wonderful music to listen to. And it’s funny at that, since it can be both upbeat and nostalgic. Samba is definitely Brazil’s mark on global music, that it is even played now. Songs are even covered in this unique and smooth beat, allowing a different and cool appreciation. It chooses no genre to cover at all – The Beatles, Michael Jackson, heck, even heavy metal songs have been covered by the Samba fever!
Models
I just have to go back to the models. It’s a fact though – most of the best models in the world come from Brazil. Adriana Lima, Isabeli Fontana, Giselle Bundchen – they all come from sunny Brazil. What’s even more bizarre and entertaining that mixed-blood models, as long as they’re part Brazilian, are often good-looking and hot individuals. If you’re a Filipino, then you know what I mean. The influx of Brazilian-Japanese market have created a unique and steamy field in the local entertainment industry!
It just shows that Brazil is a wonderful country, with its many contributions in the world. And they’re not just any kind of contribution – they’re usually the best!
